Jack S. Baker Memorial Fund in Support of Erlanger House
In Loving Memory of Professor Jack S. Baker
August 8, 1920–November 24, 2013

Professor Jack Baker was admired for the beauty and grace of his architecture; but he was also beloved for his warmth, his generous spirit and grace, his unquestioned integrity, and his willingness to always be helpful. Jack believed that architecture "should elevate the quality of life, lift the hearts and minds of those who come in contact with it, and spiritually energize our society." His distinctive, acclaimed body of work attests to the success of his professional mission. Buildings around the world reflect his influence.

The Jack S. Baker Memorial Fund in Support of Erlanger House through the University of Illinois Foundation will allow the School of Architecture in the College of Fine and Applied Arts to renovate and maintain one of his most cherished designs: Erlanger House located at 303 West Indiana Avenue in Urbana.
