Professor Jack Baker was admired for the beauty and grace of his architecture; but he was also beloved for his warmth, his generous spirit and grace, his unquestioned integrity, and his willingness to always be helpful. Jack believed that architecture "should elevate the quality of life, lift the hearts and minds of those who come in contact with it, and spiritually energize our society." His distinctive, acclaimed body of work attests to the success of his professional mission. Buildings around the world reflect his influence.
