Discover Architecture introduces high school students to how architecture shapes a sustainably built environment through hands-on studio exercises in drawing, graphics, and modeling. During the two-week program, students explore the architectural design process and learn how architects, as creative professionals, must be environmentally responsible designers. Students who participate in Discover Architecture experience a university atmosphere complete with campus living, faculty lectures, and studio work. Read more about this program.

For more than 60 years, Illinois Summer Youth Music (ISYM) has helped young musicians improve their artistry, strengthen their self-confidence, and embark on professional careers. Junior and senior high school students perform with large band, orchestra, chorus, and jazz ensembles or attend intensive, specialized instrumental programs. Students return home with newly developed skills, a lifelong sense of discipline, and in-depth training. Learn more about ISYM.

In this one-week residential program, rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors will engage in and explore the interconnectedness of science, technology, engineering, design arts, and math. Students will use their critical thinking skills, curiosity, and creativity to solve environmental design challenges in architecture, landscape architecture, and urban and regional planning.
