New Donald Margulies Play to Debut June 8

Thursday, May 19, 2016

A work-in-progress by Pulitzer Prize winner Donald Margulies will be presented for The Sullivan Project, a program led by Swanlund Professor and Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan that fosters the development of new plays. Long Lost features a reunion between two brothers with a conflict-laden history. The pair will be portrayed by Kelly AuCoin—who has appeared in television shows including Billions and House of Cards and played Octavius Caesar in the 2005 Broadway production of Julius Caesar—and David Alford—Bucky Dawes on television's Nashville. Kelly McAndrew and Michael Goldsmith will play family members and join the award-winning design team for this piece in development. Margulies has written Dinner with Friends, The Country House, Time Stands Still, and other acclaimed works. Performances will begin June 8 in Krannert Center's Studio Theatre and will run through June 12. Tickets are on sale for this production by Illinois Theatre.
