The Minor Aesthetics Lab at FAA, in collaboration with the Department of Dance and the Department of Theatre, is hosting a lecture by Cassils, a world-renowned trans live performance artist, activist, teacher, and scholar.
About Cassils
This visionary transgender artist makes their own body the material and protagonist of their performances. Cassils contemplates the historie(s) of LGBTQI+ violence, representation, struggle, and survival. For Cassils, performance is a form of social sculpture. Also an Associate Professor in Sculpture and Integrated Practices at Pratt Institute, this multi-award winning artist, teacher, scholar, and cultural worker is about to grace our campus with this stellar lecture!
