Webster Estate to Fund KAM Educational Programs
Major gifts can stem from unexpected places. An estate gift to Krannert Art Museum (KAM) began years ago with a grandmother chaperoning her grandchild at KAM-BAM, a day of art education at the museum for elementary school–aged children. Deeply impressed by KAM’s educational staff, that grandmother, an Illinois alumna, contacted KAM development and connected the team to Virginia Webster (also an Illinois alumna), who was searching for meaningful places to contribute.
Virginia Webster made significant gifts in support of education at KAM during her lifetime, and later KAM received a substantial gift from her estate. By providing an endowment, her estate gift ensures that KAM’s educational programming will continue to enrich the lives of students for years to come.
In addition to KAM-BAM, the museum also offers a weeklong immersion program and numerous workshops and special events throughout the year. Learn more about arts education at KAM.
