Criteria
- Sustained activity in working with the public and/or with external organizations
- Innovative or entrepreneurial ways of working for the well-being of citizens and communities
- Evidence of the impact on the community served
- Demonstrated professional and/or personal growth as a result of the experience
Award
The award carries a one-time prize of $2,000. There are two options for payment of the prize:
- Staff will receive a payment of $2,000 through the award payment system in university payroll to the awardee.
or
- Faculty will receive a $2,000 commitment made to a unit account for the faculty member’s discretionary use to support their scholarly activities.
Eligibility
A nominee must be a full-time employee (faculty or staff member) employed within the College of Fine and Applied Arts for at least 36 months by the nomination deadline. Nominees may not receive this award more than once in any five-year period.
Note: Members of the College of Fine and Applied Arts Executive Committee are not eligible for nomination during their period of service to the committee.
Deadline
Nominations will be vetted by the unit executive officer after submission to the FAA Dean’s Office. Any FAA faculty or staff member may nominate candidates for this award. Nominators should follow any unit-specific processes/procedures if applicable. The FAA Executive Committee will choose the recipient of the award.
The deadline for nominations is March 25.
