Whether in person or virtually, we are excited to see you! Join us for a College of Fine and Applied Arts information session or a campus Orange and Blue Day. Both are great chances to come to campus during university visit days. You can go on a campus tour, hear from admissions representatives, and learn more about the college. Tours of some units will also be available on visit days. We also offer virtual events, including an overview of the College of Fine and Applied Arts and presentations on creative careers, portfolio tips, and talent submission tips. In addition, select FAA units offer tours and meetings you can join.

Join FAA administration for an on-campus information session and get a closer look at the College of Fine and Applied Arts, which houses Architecture, Art and Design, Dance, Landscape Architecture, Music, Sustainable Design, Theatre, and Urban Planning. Come on a Friday this fall! Tours may be available for some FAA units after the presentation. Additionally, you have the option to join a campus daily visit for a presentation from college admissions representatives and a campus tour.

If you are interested in programs in dance, landscape architecture, sustainable design, theatre, or urban planning and would like to speak with an advisor, please email faa-admissions@illinois.edu. We are happy to set up a one-on-one virtual informational meeting with you.

Applicants to the Department of Dance, Department of Theatre, School of Art and Design, and School of Music must fulfill talent requirements to complete the application process. School of Art and Design applicants will upload their portfolios to our submission portal. For all performing arts applicants (dance, music, and theatre majors), we will host on-campus audition events, attend festivals/events, and allow virtual auditions for those unable to audition in person. Each performing arts major has specific requirements for auditions, interviews, or portfolios.

Head to our application information to get details on upcoming audition events.

Visit the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign during daily information sessions and take tours with admissions counselors. If you schedule a campus event on a day that also offers an FAA information session, you can hear from representatives from our college.
