WCIA Highlights Excitement of Discover Architecture
Lee Waldrep, the administrator for undergraduate student services at the Illinois School of Architecture, was interviewed on WCIA's News at Noon on March 30 about this summer's sessions of Discover Architecture. The two-week program immerses high school students in the field of architecture through lectures, a day trip to a Chicago firm, sketching, and projects that have them building models from their own designs. In addition to exploring architecture to see if it might be the right career for them, students make friends around the globe and are exhilarated to be on campus and potentially join a future class of Illinois undergraduates.
