About Ashley Smart
Biography
I completed my M.S. in Ecology from University of California, Davis and have had a variety of jobs in the public and private sectors that focus on climate change, environmental management, and K-12/college environmental education. My academic research has focused on ocean acidification & hypoxia and documenting microplastic prevalence in marine reserves. I work with Sustainable Design students to learn more about their paths and collaborate to design a college experience that is fulfilling during their time at UIUC and beyond! In my personal time, I am an avid reader and spend time with my dogs, Argo (Scottish Terrier) and Juana (Mix), on training and dog sports.
