Led by experienced teaching artists, each session offers an opportunity to experiment with materials, develop your personal style, and connect with others through shared artmaking. Whether you’re a beginner or returning to art after time away, this class is for you. Free and open to everyone. All materials are provided. (25 participants)
Vivianne Velazquez is an artist, yoga and movement teacher, and sound bath facilitator whose work centers on creativity, healing, and community connection. They are the visionary behind Harmony Through Beads: A Vibrant Tapestry of Global Diversity, a transformative community art project supported by an Urbana Arts Grant that combines the ancient art of beadwork with practices of mindfulness. Through both their artistic and wellness practices, they create spaces for reflection, creativity, and collective belonging.
