Whether in person or virtually, we are excited to see you! Join us for a College of Fine and Applied Arts information session, as this is a great chance to visit campus during the university’s visit days. You can go on a campus tour, hear from admissions, and learn more about FAA plus select unit tours will be held. We also have a number of virtual events, including an overview of the college and sessions on portfolio tips and talent submission tips. In addition, select FAA units offer tours and meetings.

Join FAA administration for an on-campus information session and get a closer look at the College of Fine and Applied Arts, which houses Architecture, Art and Design, Dance, Landscape Architecture, Music, Sustainable Design, Theatre, and Urban Planning. Come on a Friday this fall! Tours may be available for select FAA units after the presentation. Be sure to sign up for the Illinois Experience and Campus Tour too.

IlliniFest

Join us at IlliniFest on Saturday, October 18, for our biggest open house of the year! With tours, presentations and panels, resource fairs, and more happening across campus from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., you can explore everything Illinois offers entirely on your own schedule. This one-time event will allow you to fully experience life at Illinois through unique programming offered only at this visit. You’ll want to sign up for the College of Fine and Applied Arts offering that best aligns with your desired area of study. Architecture, Art and Design, Dance, Landscape Architecture, Music, Sustainable Design, Theatre, and Urban Planning are all offering sessions. Don’t forget to stop by the performing arts information table in Krannert Center for the Performing Arts or at the visual and environmental arts information table in Temple Hoyne Buell Hall to speak with FAA admissions representatives and pick up a special gift. We hope to see you there!

Talent Requirement Events: Art & Design, Dance, Music, and Theatre

Applicants to the Department of Dance, Department of Theatre, School of Art and Design, and School of Music must fulfill talent requirements to complete the application process. School of Art and Design applicants will upload their portfolios to a submission portal. For dance, music, and theatre applicants, we will host on-campus audition events, attend festivals/events, and allow virtual auditions for those unable to audition in person. Each performing arts major has specific requirements for auditions, interviews, or portfolios.

Illinois Experience & Campus Tour

Visit the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign during daily information sessions and take tours with admissions counselors. Be sure to schedule your tour for a day that has an FAA info session so that you can learn more about the college. Check out all the options to visit campus or try other ways to explore the university.
