Internship Credit
Many FAA graduates land jobs where they interned or meet artists they collaborate with over a lifetime.
Internships provide you with an excellent opportunity to gain work experience and explore your professional interests. Students who are interested in pursuing an internship are strongly encouraged to work with FAA Career Services or The Career Center to learn how to approach the internship search process and develop job search materials.
Students who seek to earn academic credit for an internship should first consult with their academic advisor. Some FAA units/departments offer courses that would allow you to earn academic credit for an internship experience. You can also look into unrestricted internship courses offered by other colleges on campus. Many of these opportunities will require you to receive departmental or faculty approval prior to enrollment.
Students who independently identify an international internship are responsible for arranging and managing their own logistics, visa, travel, expenses, and personal safety.
Students who prefer to pursue an international internship through an organized provider that has an established agreement with Illinois can use the Advanced Search feature in MyStudyAbroad. Scroll down to the Internship section and select “Yes” and then “Search.”
